Label everything, friends!

Every time I go to freeze something, I just know that I will remember what is in the bag/container so don't bother labeling it. Really, how hard can it be to remember, right? I will certainly never forget freezing exactly 2 cups of mango, or 1/2 a can of rotel, right?

Big Daddy was cleaning out the freezer yesterday and came across this bag:

Hmmmm...wonder what it is...

Maybe it's bananas. You know that it is insane to throw away nasty brown bananas when you might use them one day?

Let's peek IN the bag:

Oh my - nope. Not bananas. Princess P suggested it was poop, but I'm 99.9% sure I would remember if I froze a Ziploc full of poop balls. At least I hope I would!

Hmmm...Maybe they are cookies. Let's bake them and see what happens.

YES! They turned out to be absolutely delicious cookies that I have zero recollection of making/freezing. Zilch. Captain C at least vaguely remembered it and filled me in, but honestly, I've got nothing, which is a very weird feeling. I wonder what else I've forgotten.

From now on, I will keep a Sharpie close and label everything...just in case I do decide one day to freeze some poop.

  1. LOL! Glad it was a yummy treat and not poop. Yes it's vital to keep a sharpie handy when putting something in the freezer. I'm afraid I learned the hard way. Something I had in the freezer with no label was there too long and got bad freezer burn. Had to thaw it out to see what it was. :/

    1. So what was it? I'm curious now. Lol! Glad I'm not alone.

  2. Oh my goodness... I do the same thing,, then play the "wonder what it is?" Game... haha.... It only gets worst with age... I can't remember breakfast let alone what I froze yesterday.... love you, Mom

  3. Glad that after baking it you didn't figure out it was poop after all.

I would love to hear your thoughts!!
