Thursday Quick Tip: dinner is served

Thursday Quick Tips

When you haven't been to the grocery store in close to 3 weeks, throw whatever you can find in a crescent roll (with cheese, of course) and voila...dinner is served.

Granted it was just T, and P eating tonight. It would take a lot more than refried beans/cheese or pepperoni/cheese to fill up "hollow leg" C. Naturally, they liked this WAY better than the dinner last night that was an actual meal - albeit a throw-whatever-I-can-find-in-a-crockpot-and-hope-for-the-best meal, but at least it had chicken and rice in it!

I promise we are grocery shopping tomorrow! Yikes.

What quick can you share really quickly? Link up with Ben and Me each Thursday :)

  1. 3 weeks?! I wish I could truly go that long in between grocery visits. I hate to say because it sounds so bad, but I just can't stand grocery shopping....and I know it's a blessing.

When I visited Fawn, they had made a roast with carrots and potatoes, and they wrapped that up in crescent rolls, and it was so good!

    1. I should have put in there that we were in AL for one week of that, in the middle. So we grocery shopped to be home for the week, no idea what Big T managed to scrape together while we were gone, then this week...it's been rough! We SHOULD have gone when I first got back but the week got away from us. T stopped by for bread the other day so we could have sandwiches. It's looking lean! I hate shopping too. T is off tomorrow so I'm going to make it a "date" and hopefully that will be more fun!

  2. :) I guess I need to find a way to make it more fun too. Some weeks I'd prefer to just have sandwiches each and every meal!

ps. On those muffins, I have also used yellow cake mix, or a chocolate cake mix. It's versatile, so easy, and so yummy. It's a great way to get lots of vitamin A for your kids!
